Skin Care with Clarins

When I hit my teenage years I suffered from terrible acne; paired with braces it’s safe to say they weren’t my finest years! All I remember is the constant daily battle I would have with my skin. Nothing ever seemed to work, I even went to my doctors and he prescribed me acne cream so strong it used to bleach my pillow cases!!

It was around my first year of college that I really noticed it starting to clear up, but I never really followed any kind of skin care routine. I never understood my skin, all I knew was that it was combination. I used various scrubs and day creams, in the hopes that I was doing something right.

So now as a 21 year old, I have finally decided to do something about it. I went into my local Debenhams and head straight for the Clarins stand, I know they do excellent products so thought that would be a good place to start. I walked up to the woman and said “I’ve never had a skin care routine, I have combination skin and suffer with blackheads… HELP!” The woman was so helpful, talking me through the different products and the order to use them in. I was in a completely different world and terrified!! As she want through the products, all I kept thinking is “how much will this cost me?” I haven’t got the biggest budget and skin care products always seem to cost a fortune. Once she had laid out 5 products that would be bets for me, I chose the Foam Cleanser and Toner to be the start of my collection. Surprisingly enough they only came to £41 which was a lot cheaper than I was expecting!

The Clarins rep gave me loads of samples, and I even had a free 10 minute facial using some of the products I had purchased. They have a special offer on at the moment where you can get 2 x 30 minute treatments for £40… I need to get mine booked in.

Clarins also have this amazing app called Clarins Connect. They put all your details onto their system, including products you’ve brought or are interested in. So even if you don’t buy everything right away, it will be on the system for future purchases. They email it over to you as well so you always have something to reference.

So I’ve put together a list of the products they gave me, and once I’ve used them for a few weeks I will review them to let you know how I get on!

  1. Gentle Foam Cleanser
  2. Toning Lotion
  3. Pore Control
  4. SOS Pure Rebalancing Clay Mask
  5. Lotus Face Treatment Oil
  6. Multi-Active Jour Day Cream
  7. Multi-Active Yeux Eye Cream
  8. Multi-Active Nuit Night Cream
  9. Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch
  10. BB Skin Perfecting Cream 00Fair
  11. Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector

I’m so excited to try these all out and see how they react with my skin. If you have any tips or products that you would recommend feel free to leave a comment!

Love, Sophie
